Shep Platt, DDS
Dr. Platt has practiced dentistry in Baton Rouge since 1978. He is a 1977 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He is a member of the Sixth District Dental Association of the American Dental Association and also of the East Baton Rouge Parish Dental Society. He is a third generation dentist as both his father and grandfather were practicing dentists in DeSoto Parish for a cumulative total of over 90 years. Dr. Platt is originally from Mansfield, LA and is married to Kay McKnight Platt, formerly of Natchitoches, LA. They have three children and one grandchild. His hobbies include golf, jogging, fishing, and being an LSU sports fan. Dr. Platt regularly attends continuing education courses and especially likes cosmetic dentistry.
Dustin Kidder, DDS
Dr. Dustin Kidder has recently joined Dr. Platt as his associate. Dr. Kidder was born and raised in Baton Rouge and is a graduate of Parkview Baptist High School and Louisiana State University, and earned his dental degree from Louisiana State School of Dentistry in New Orleans. His father and uncle have both practiced dentistry for over 25 years. In his leisure time, Dr. Kidder enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, reading, and writing. He is also a sports enthusiast as he participates in basketball, racquetball, tennis, swimming, cycling, and running. He looks forward to establishing a fulfilling career and family life here Baton Rouge. Dr. Platt and staff are pleased to welcome Dr. Dustin Kidder to our team.
